of offences against the person
The candidate will be able to:
- explain and define the offence of murder including
elements of causation and malice aforethought
- distinguish between murder and voluntary manslaughter
outlining the elements of provocation, suicide pact and diminished
responsibility under s2, s3 and s4 of the Homicide Act
1957
- explain the offence of involuntary manslaughter and
describe the key elements of gross negligence and constructive
manslaughter
- summarise the differences between voluntary and
involuntary manslaughter
- explain the key components of a range of non-fatal
offences.
