Membership, Study, Exam and Exemption Fees 

We have set out in these pages information on the current fees applicable to ILEX membership  study, exam and exemptions .  

Membership fees

There is a one-off registration fee of £35.00 for all individuals enrolling into ILEX membership in addition to the appropriate membership subscription fee. For example, an individual enrolling into student membership would pay a total registration fee of £85.00 (£35.00 first time registration fee + £50.00 Student Membership fee). Study fees

If you are studying for an ILEX qualification via a local accredited centre, each centre will set their own course fees which will be in addition to ILEX membership fees. Please check with the appropriate centre for their fees for a specific ILEX course. There is a full list of all ILEX accredited centres available on this web site along with contact details.

Similarly, if you are studying via distance learning through the ILEX Tutorial College (ITC) will have a range of fees which cover their courses. The costs of ITC courses can be found on their web site via this link.  

Examination fees

All students sitting ILEX examinations will have to pay a fee to sit the examination. These are in addition to the fees payable to study ILEX courses. The full cost of fees for each module of each ILEX Level 3 or Level 6 examination can be found on the ILEX study Section of the web site under: Information for students/exam fees.  

For 2009/10 ILEX examinations this is £70 per module for law and practice modules plus and £50 for customer care modules on Level 6 courses and £37 for all Level 3 courses modules.

Exemption fees

There are a range of qualifications which provide exemption from parts of ILEX courses for candidates who wish to study to become Legal Executive Lawyers (Fellows of the Institute).
