Frequently Asked Questions - My ILEX Registration
Do new members who applied using
the ILEX "Online Membership Application" service need to register
with MyILEX?
Members who have applied for membership
using the new (Sept 2010) Online Membership Application service are
auto-registered with MyILEX. Once the application is
complete and given approval you should receive an email confirming
your membership status and MyILEX password. The ability to
re-register for MyILEX is available to all members at any
time. Members who could not or decided not to use the new
online service will have to register.
What information do I need to
register?
To register for MyILEX services you need
your ILEX membership number (numeric part only eg
FZ12345 is entered as 12345),
surname, date of birth and an Internet email address. All
data except the email address must
match existing information held by ILEX.
I cannot remember my ILEX
Membership Number?
Your membership number is indicated on your
Membership Card, in correspondence and, for Fellows only, on the
Practicing Certificate. Enter the numeric part only.
Registration reports that my
“personal details do not match our records”
Carefully check the information you enter on
the registration form. Check this information against
any correspondence, including your Journal postage wrap, for
any problems with name spelling eg double barrelled names, Mc or
Mac etc.. It is also possible that ILEX records are not
presently upto date. If the problem persists please call ILEX

Registration reports the
“Username provided is already in use”
The email address
supplied by you must be unique. Please check the spelling and
accuracy of the email addess supplied and if the error persists
please contact ILEX here.
Registration reports “Your
account already exists”
This is reported if
you have already registered with MyILEX online services.
Members are able to either request a password reminder (if confident that the
email address associated with the account is still valid and is
accessible) OR to Register again. Members can
(Re-)Register at any time and a new account is provided ie
the member will only have one principal login account at any one
time.
I do not have a suitable email
address.
Members may not have
the Internet at home or may be restricted on the use any email
facilities provided by an employer. There are a large number
of Internet Service Providers who provide a free of charge email
service. Type "free email account" into your favourite
Internet Search Engine to obtain a list of potential
suppliers. If accessing MyILEX services via a "public"

A problem is occurring, I am
not sure if I am registered or not. What do I do?
If the registration
process reports "Service Unavailable" or similar, then the MyILEX
service may be experiencing a temporary fault. Please try
again later or if the service continues to fail please contact ILEX
here.
I have registered with MyILEX but
cannot login
