Being regulated by ILEX
Professional Standards (IPS) is a first-rate membership benefit
in itself. Regulations brings with it respect and recognition, it
differentiates you from those in the legal profession that do not
belong to a recognised professional body and ensures high standards
of quality from ILEX professionals.

As a graduate of ILEX you will have the right to use specific
lettering after your name. An Associate member has A.Inst.L.Ex, a
Graduate member has G.Inst.L.Ex and a Fellow is known as
F.Inst.L.Ex.

Involved
All ILEX members are encouraged to take an active role in their
careers and the legal world. We will invite you to take part in
government consultations, encourage you to get involved with your
local ILEX branch activities and
help you spread the word of your achievements through our case studies scheme.
Each year we reward outstanding members with the ILEX Medals, offering the opportunity to
gain recognition for yourself and your firm. We also encourage you
and sponsor external awards such as the Law Society's Legal
Executive of the Year Excellence Award.
ILEX is always striving to improve its services to its members

As a Fellow of ILEX you will feature on our
Legal Executives Directory. A free promotional tool which could
bring new business your way.
The ILEX Benevolent fund, a registered charity since 1960, can
be applied for by any ILEX member facing difficult financial
times.
Funded by ILEX for its members, LawCare offers FREE health support
and advice. LawCare is a confidential advisory service created to
support members and their immediate family.
The ILEX Group's websites have been developed to both promote
ILEX and benefit members. You can access legal jobs,
student areas, back issues of the Journal, information and advice
on current issues faced by legal professionals and training through
the ILEX Tutorial College.
You will also benefit from the national publicity created by the
ILEX PR team on a variety of legal and educational issues.

reform issues ensuring members are kept informed and up-to-date of
