Bristol, Bath & Surrounds

7 February Branch AGM and quiz night in support of the ILEX Benevolent Fund, at Totos wine bar from 6pm. Teams of 4, entry fee £25 per team, which includes light refreshments. The quiz was a sell-out last year, so please contact Sarah Goodridge (see e-mail address below) to book your space. Liverpool

February Date tbc. Committee member Stephanie Houghton, along with a team of other legal professionals – Matt O’Neil, Julie Walker and Charlie Mahoney – will take part in a sky dive in support of the fund-raising for local charity Zoë’s Place, a children’s hospice in West Derby, which cares for children who require 24-hour care due to life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.

9 March Annual ball. This year the branch will be celebrating its 10th birthday with a ball at the Marriott Hotel, raising funds for Zoë’s Place. This will consist of a four-course meal with wine, guest speaker and entertainment until the early hours at only £30 per person. Pre-dinner drinks 6.30-7pm. Discounted room rates of £89 per room are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

7 February AGM to be held at the offices of Gorman Hamilton solicitors, Percy House, Percy Street, Newcastle NE1 4PW from 6pm. There will be a meal following the meeting at around 7.15pm (venue tbc). Members of the branch may join us either for the meeting, the meal or both. This is a great chance for you to meet ILEX President Susan Silver and chief executive Diane Burleigh.
