Seven Legal Executive Lawyers shortlisted for excellence
awards
More Legal Executives have been shortlisted for this year’s Law
Society Excellence awards than ever before, showing they are being
increasingly recognised for the work they do.
President of ILEX, Susan Silver was delighted to hear so many
ILEX members were being recognised in this way: “Legal Executives
continue to go from strength to strength. This is only the fourth
year that Legal Executives have been eligible to enter the awards
and having seven shortlisted for the one category, in such well
recognised and respected awards is wonderful.”
The seven shortlisted Legal Executive Lawyers are:
- Alexandra Boardman - Hartnell Chanot & Partners Ltd
Dawn Barbara Joughin - Canter Levin
Muhammed Abdul Muid Khan - Rest Harrow & Co Solicitors
Lynette Vaughan - Watkins & Gunn
Karina Vickerman - Kent County Council
Philip Warford - Renaissance Legal
Margaret Wingate - Mason Baggott & Garton
John Wotton, Law Society President said: "The standard of
entries for this year's Excellence Awards has been exceptionally
high, and selecting the shortlist has been a challenge for the
judges.
"The Excellence Awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate
what is great about the legal profession, which in recent years has
experienced a turbulent economic climate and now faces the
challenges created by the introduction of ABS."
The shortlisted lawyers will now be judged by: Sioban Calcott,
head of Banbury Litigation (FILEX), Brethertons and Darren Hill,
head of Claims and Debt Recovery, United Utilities Legal
Department. The winner will be announced at a gala awards dinner on
the 18 October 2011.
