The charge against Alison Stephens of Swindon
was that she engaged in conduct unbefitting to ILEX or likely to
bring ILEX or its members into disrepute and conducted herself in a
manner as to allow doubt to be cast upon her professional integrity
contrary to the IILEX Code of Conduct.
The particulars were that:
An order was made against Mrs Stephens under
s43 Solicitors Act 1974 that no solicitor shall employ or
remunerate her without the consent of the Law Society.
Mrs Stephens failed to account for monies
obtained from clients during the course of her
employment.
