LSB: Referral fees, referral arrangements and fee sharing

 

Consultation from the Legal Services Board (LSB) setting out their first thoughts on the subject and is the first step of their investigation on the impact of referral fees. The consultation looked at the LSB's assessment of gathered evidence and considered whether there should be a ban on referral fees in the conveyancing and personal injury markets, whether fee sharing was reducing quality in criminal advocacy and whether disclosure arrangements worked effectively. The consultation closed on 22 December 2010.
