LSB: Section 70 of the Legal Services Act: proposals to modify
the functions of two approved regulators
Consultation from the Legal Services Board (LSB) setting out
proposed changes to legislation to modify the regulatory framework
of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Council for Licensed
Conveyancers. The consultation paper outlined justifications for
the proposed changes and included a draft statutory instrument. The
consultation closed 20 December 2010.
The consultation paper was combined with the LSB’s consultation on
its draft statement of policy under section 50 of the Legal
