LeO: Publishing our decisions: an evidence based approach
Consultation from the Legal Ombudsman (LeO) which outlined the
approach LeO will take to publication, based on the evidence
received during the last consultation process in September 2010.
LeO proposed a staged approach which will result in: stage
one - the immediate publication of anonymous cases studies, stage
two - publication of anonymous summaries of all cases that are
resolved formally by an Ombudsman decision to begin in summer 2011
and stage three – consideration of publishing information that
identifies law firms or lawyers in February 2012. The
consultation closed on 30 June 2011.
