ILEX Professional Standards Limited (IPS) is the
independent regulator of members of the Institute of Legal
Executives (ILEX). It oversees the education,
qualification and practice standards of Legal Executives and other
ILEX members and promotes proper standards of professional and
personal conduct.
IPS is led by a Board of Directors. The
Board and staff of IPS are committed to proportionate and
transparent regulation in accordance with the statutory objectives
set out in the Legal Services Act 2007. The aim of IPS is to
ensure the public can trust ILEX members as safe, competent legal
practitioners. It works closely with ILEX to ensure it
carries out its work in accordance with the principles of good
regulation: proportional, accountable, consistent, transparent and
targeted.
