Legal Executives are qualified lawyers, working alongside solicitors and barristers.

All students enrolling on Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law are stongly recommended to pass 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language or Literature or equivalent ( Including the City and Guilds/ILEX Level 2 Vocational Paralegal Studies certificate.

Study at your local college or learning centre by day release or evening classes. If you wish, study at home – ILEX Tutorial College offer the ILEX courses by distance learning.

It takes approximately 4 years to qualify – DON’T BE PUT OFF! – you will be working and studying at the same time – earning and learning!

The first 2 years are set at A-Level standard and the final 2 years are set at degree level. ILEX offers the opportunity for you to qualify as a lawyer with or without a degree.

Job opportunities for Legal Executives are expanding all the time. There will always be criminals for the criminal lawyers to defend – or prosecute! People always want to buy and sell their houses – you could be a conveyancer! These are just a couple of examples – there are lots of varied opportunities out there.
