How to become an ILEX Accredited Centre

ILEX welcomes applications from centres seeking ILEX Accredited Centre status to deliver programmes of learning towards ILEX qualifications.

Prospective centres should ensure they read the ILEX Centre Accreditation Handbook 2011//2012 together with Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix D, Appendix E, Appendix F, Appendix G, Appendix H, Appendix I and Appendix  J which set in detail  the quality standards centres are required to meet, the full application and approval process and our on-going requirements.

There are six steps to becoming an ILEX Accredited Centre:

Step 1

Notify the ILEX Centre Liaison Officer of your interest

Step 2

Ensure your centre can meet the ILEX Centre Accreditation Quality Standards

Step 3

Complete the ILEX Centre Accreditation Application Form

Step 4

Collect together the required supporting documentation

Step 5

Complete the Intention to Run ILEX Programmes Form

Step 6

Send the ILEX Centre Accreditation Application Form, the Intention to Run ILEX Programmes Form and the required supporting documentation to ILEX with the ILEX Centre Accreditation annual fee

A centre must be formally approved before it can offer an ILEX programme of learning. The approval process involves ILEX evaluating the application in full, together with the supporting documentation submitted by the centre and may also involve a pre-accreditation visit.

The process  takes approximately 28 days. Prospective centres should contact the Centre Liaison Officer before they start the application and approval process. ILEX Accredited Centre status and approval to run ILEX programmes of learning is granted for a period of  three years and may be subject to conditions.

All of the forms to be completed and submitted by both prospective and existing ILEX Study Centres are available to download and print from these pages prior to completion.
