LSB Appoints Legal Advisors

The Lawyer reports that the Legal Services Board (LSB) has appointed Lovells and 39 Essex Street as legal advisors after a tender process.

The LSB which oversees the profession’s regulatory bodies including the Solicitors Regulatory Authority, the Bar Standards Board and the ILEX Professional Standards Board (IPS), became fully active on 1 January 2010.

LSB has also appointed the following specialist advisors: Philip Havers QC of 1 Crown Office Row; LG employment partner Helga Breen, Louise Jones of 1 Temple Gardens, Joanna Tall of legal consultancy Trading Terms and Stephanie Grundy, a freelance expert in drafting statutory regulations.
