Closure of Land Registry Direct
The Land Registry will start the closure of the Land Registry
Direct Services with the withdrawal of the Electronic Notification
of Discharge ( ENDS) service on 3rd January
2010. The Land Registry Direct Service will fully close on
31st March 2010.
The only way to continue to access these services will be
through Business e-services via the new Land Registry
portal.
The Land Registry has currently 150,000 individual users of Land
Registry Direct services. As such, the Land Registry is aware it
will take several months to sign everyone up to use the portal.
Current users of the Land Registry Direct need to act
now to ensure continued access to these services via the new
portal. Don't risk leaving it until the last minute as you may risk
an interruption in service.
To request an application to register for the new portal as an
e-user, email your company name, full postal address, a company
contact name together with a telephone number and email address to
migrationsupportteam@landregistry.gsi.gov.uk.
