ILEX at St Paul's

Internationally reknowned cleric Archbishop Desmond Tutu was the guest speaker at  the Advocates for International Development lecture in St Paul's Cathedral in London in July.

Combining his unique blend of humour and spirituality he highlighted the grave challenges the world faces from trade barriers in his speech to almost two thousand lawyers.

ILEX Chief Executive, Diane Burleigh, who attended the lecture with 2008/9 President Mark Bishop, was interviewed for the video being made to commemorate the event,.

She stressed the importance of the work that A4ID does and the responsibility lawyers in this county have to help colleagues in other countries know what their rights are and take responsibility for their own development.
