Equality and Diversity

Equality and diversity is about the recognition and valuing
of difference in its broadest sense.
It is about creating a working culture and practices that
recognise, respect, value and harness difference for the benefit of
the organisation and the individual.
It is also about creating a fairer society where everyone can
participate and has the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
It is backed by the Equalities Act 2010 designed to
address unfair discrimination based on membership of a particular
group.
CILEx is focused and committed to equality and diversity in
relation to the members it represents, the staff it employs and
its stakeholders. CILEx has published its
Equality and Diversity Policy which sets out CILEx
Group policy.
CILEx has published a
new group Single Equality and Diversity
Scheme And Action Plan which sets out the Equality and
Diversity objectives and action plans for the
Group for 2011-2015.
Objective
CILEx will actively promote equality against the required
protected characteristics. CILEx embraces the Equality Act 2010 and
will have due regard to advancing equality of opportunity when
taking action to achieve the objectives through its action
plan.
CILEx will continue to report on its performance in its Annual Report.
